After a first date of constant belly laughs and flowing conversation, Catherine and Marcus couldn’t wait for their next date. Now they are a happy couple and Catherine has some wise words of advice for any singles out there. She shared their story with us:
How did it all start? What was your first date like?
“The first date was an intoxicating mix of excitement and nerves. Would he turn up, would we like one another, or would I be sick! We met at a restaurant near to my home one sunny afternoon and I arrived first. My tummy flip flopping inside me with anticipation. We had messaged for a while and had also spoken on the phone, but never met, but I already had a good feeling about him, and I hoped it would be reciprocated.
As he walked from his car towards me I remember thinking how much I liked the way he moved and his easy demeanour as he waved across the street to me. I needn’t have worried, the conversation flowed easily, the belly laughs were constant and the attraction was electric.
The date ended after just a few hours and I wished that it would’ve gone on into the evening. However the anticipation for a second date was heightened as a result and the eagerness to meet up again was felt by us both.”
What do you like the most about your partner?
“His wonderful dry sense of humour, which matches with mine perfectly. We seem to just ‘get’ one another.”
What advice would you give to other EliteSingles members still looking for love?
“Be open to suggestions, even if they are not your usual type in looks or personality, after all you are single for a reason. Maybe you’ve been looking for the wrong type all along!”
